it's offical
It's official. I e-mailed this picture to all your Aunts and Uncles on the Kanooth side. Grandma & Papa Kanooth was super excited. I have been getting a lot of text all day congratulating us.
7 weeks and now we are telling
During the first week of March, the kids and I took a trip to Spokane. Your Aunt KJ was visiting along with Aunt Josett. Both these Aunt are pregnant with your cousins. I couldn't wait to tell them that I was expecting too. But I knew I had a be creative.
We drove in Thursday afternoon, and I told your Grandpa that I had a late birthday present for him. I handed him a manila envelop with a title on the front called, Can you Guess What is What? Grandma read the directions as Grandpa obediently followed them. He was to first put us daughters in order, then kiss us all, then we kissed him, then he rubbed his belly, then we rubbed our bellies, the directions then had your Grandpa doing random things like jump, back, stand on one foot, ect. Finally he was directed to open the envelop and match each card to a daughter (the cards being 7 weeks, 17 weeks, 27 weeks). And you should have seen his face! Grandpa was so excited when he say the "7 weeks" card. Everyone thought we were still waiting, so it was a big surprise. Aunt Josett and KJ were super excited too. We are all going to have babies so close together. Then to make the story even better, Alena e-mailed me to say she is due on Oct 21. So you are going to have 3 cousins your same age. I can't for you guys to be close.

The Day it all Happened.
Dear little baby,
Your Daddy and I tried ONE time for you. I knew I was ovulating and so we tried. It normally takes me a couple of months to get pregnant. But somehow, it felt so different with you. I just knew I was pregnant, and I just knew you needed to come into our family as soon as possible. It was the strangest feeling ever. I even told my friend Ali, that I was pregnant before taking a test. I felt pregnant the moment after we tired for you.
And then exactly 2 weeks later on Feb 18th, I took a pregnancy test. I had substitute taught that day and was super tired. It was 3:30 in the afternoon. I put a show on for the kids and then laid on my bed. I then realized that I was so tied because I was pregnant but wanted to know for sure. So I went into the bathroom and dropped some urine onto a pregnancy test. When the 2 lines appeared, I was overcome with joy. I did a little dance and couldn't stop smiling. Eli then walked right up the stairs letting me know he was done with the show. I held Eli close and told him Mommy was having a baby.
"Mommy Baby," he replied in his own baby voice.
I patted my belly and replied that Mommy was having a baby.
"My Baby," he said patting his tummy. And from then on out Eli has had a baby in his tummy too.
That night I wrapped up the test, wrote a note to Leif and laid it on his pillow. He was excited but a little more surprised since it only took us ONE try. Leif gave me a kiss, and was happy but shocked.
A couple of days later the twins found the pregnancy test. Micah asked me what it was. I told him it was a test. Both twins examined the test then Savannah asked, "Mommy did you win?"
I laughed and told her I did win!! Micah then wanted to know what I won. And Savannah asked if anyone else won the test.
So, I told them the truth. I said, "Mommy and Daddy took a test together, and we made a baby." They were both so excited. Micah has continued asking me when the baby is going to get here. Micah kisses my belly even though it is still super flat. Eli will point and say baby. And Savannah has just become more loving. We are all so excited for this new change.
Baby, your mother is so so excited you are coming. I have faith you will make it into this world healthy and strong. I know you were waiting in heaven to come down to this family. You have 3 sibling here that are so excited to meet you. You have one brother in heaven who I believe you already meet. Baby, I love you already.
Love your Mother
