Dear Baby Connor,

Yes, I am pretty sure that is your name.  Eli  calls you "Baby Connor" all day long and so it has pretty much stuck.  Savannah also cuddles with my belly every night and talks to you.  She calls you Connor Baby too.  So, your name is Connor.  I hope you like it.

I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow morning.  I am 38 weeks now and that is 3 weeks (21 days) more pregnant then I have ever been.  I feel huge! My belly hurts!!  Your C-Section is scheduled for Friday the 14th.  But I want to deliver you naturally.  SO PLEASE come Connor.  Push your way out.  Exit... Evict.. Come Out!!!   Each night I pray I will get to experience a normal delivery.  I pray that you will come out healthy and safe.  You father gets work off starting this Tuesday, so I think you should come Tuesday or Wednesday. OK???  

But in all honesty, I only want what is best for you.  I want to make sure you are big and healthy.  I have been anticipating your arrival for the last 21 days and now I am getting impatience.  I want to hold and nurse you soooo bad.  Grandma and Papa Kanooth come this Tuesday.  They will be here to help with your siblings.  I wish my mommy could come.  But she are in Peru with Aunt Amy and Uncle Mat.  

Oh Connor, you are such an active boy already. Yesterday you had the hiccups most the night.  My tummy wouldn't stop jumping!!  Everyday you feel you need to move around and kick my ribs.  Yet, I love watching my tummy move and will probably miss it once you come out.  

Well, that's it for now.  I can't wait to hold you.

36 Weeks Pregnant and GROWING

On September 23 I hit my 36 week mark.  This is the most pregnant your mother has ever been.  And you can see by these pictures that you are getting BIG!!!!

Dear Baby

September 26th, 2016

I am now 36 weeks along.  The twins were born at 32 and Eli was born at 35, so in my mind you should come ANY day.  Your Dr. and I have decited on doing a V-back which means a vaginal delivery.  But if you haven't come by 39 weeks we will do a C-secion.  I have only had C-Secions (except for Kaden), so I am very nervous but excited.  I told the Dr. that I have never had a baby handed to me right after birth, and that is all I want.  He informed me that if all goes well, we can make that happen. 

Each night when I go to bed I think that will be my last nigt.  Then I wake up and feel great.  My belly is BIG.  You are moving all the time.  You are putting a huge amount of pressure on my back.  And I am ready to hold you in my arms.  So please come soon.  I want you to come.  During my prayers each night I pray for a safe delievery.  Tomorrow is your Daddy's first day off, so I predict that it is now "safe".  So hopefully your brithday will come soon.

As of now your name will be Connor Leif Kanooth OR Gabriel Leif Kanooth OR Landon Leif Kanooth.   We are hoping that when you are born, we will just know your name.  So im really hoping you have a distinct look.

Baby Shower

On Sept 22, you had your baby shower.  My friend Tiara Yates put it on for me.  I only asked that friends would come for a girls night out and bring diapers if they wanted to.  Well, I only got 3 packs of diapers and LOTS and LOTS of clothes.  But I am not glad for the clothes because after looking at the one I have for you, I realize that most have stains on them from Eli or Micah.
Right now there is a pack-and-play set up in our room.  Your blankets are under the TV and your clothes are in Eli's room.  I'm so sorry you don't get your own room.  But you will once we move to a new house.
Oh Baby, it was fun to be showered tonight.  All my friends and family are so excited to meet you.  Please come soon.

Savannah like Moroni and Caleb.

Micah calls you baby goofy.

I want your name to be from the Bible.  Leif doesn't care.

We just can't agree on any name.

Summer 2016

Hi Baby, 

Today is August 24th.  Together we are 31 weeks. It's crazy to think that your twins siblings were born at 32 weeks, and that you are around 4 pounds.  You have done a great job of growing.  I have enjoyed feeling you move so much.   You constantly kick and elbow me, but it's the best feeling ever.  We had a busy summer together.  Our family went camping 3 times.  We took many trips to Spokane.  We visited lots of family and even did a Kanooth reunion at Depot Bay.  I have enjoyed eating a lot and then pushing out the belly.  It's really fun to show you off.  Your big siblings love to rub my belly and kiss you.   You have been so easy to carry.  I already love you so much.

You are Growing

You are the most active little guy.  You move more and more each day.  I just can't believe how big you are getting.  Your siblings love to feel you move.  Each night we read books and one child will sit on my lap. You sure don't like that.  As each night you kick and move around as if telling your sibling to get off.  You also love to wake me up in the middle of the night, as you move around.  Let's just say you love to move.

Dear Son

Dear Son,
I feel you kicking every day now.  You are so active.  I love knowing that your little body is growing.  Your father has yet to feel you kick because every time I grab his head, you stop.  You are already a little tease. 
Each and every day I think about what life will be like when you arrive.  Your ultrasound photo was added to our family wall this week.  I also have one on the fridge to look at every day. I am so so excited to meet you. 
I am also getting more excited about you being a boy.  You 3 boys are going to have so much fun together.  And I think deep inside you will all be Mommy's boys. 
We still haven't come up with a name yet.  Savannah likes Moroni.  I like Jacob.  Your father likes Roman.  And your bothers haven't made a suggestion yet.
Keep kicking, I like it.  And I want you to know I love you too.

You are a BOY!!!!!

Hi baby,

June 13th, 2016 was a special day for us.  The kids and I did Yoga in the park, ate lunch at the school, then went and bought 2 balloons.  Savannah picked out an, it's a girl balloon.  Micah chose it's a boy.   As we were getting our groceries in the car, Savannah started crying as her newly bought balloon ran away into the air.  So, we went back into the store and bought another pick girl balloon.  After being inside for a few hours we noticed that Savannah's balloon was losing air, and a lot of it.  So, before the ultrasound we headed to the store one more time, so they could fill up the balloon.  Deep inside I was thinking that this was all a sign.  But finally, we had 2 filled gender balloons, and were on our way to see you.

The ultrasound tec was very excited when she your whole family enter her little office.  She took both balloons and was instructed, after finding the gender, to give the correct colored balloon to the kids.   

First we saw your little heart-beat and profile.  And oh were you so cute.  Then we looked at your brain, stomach, and arms.  And finally she went down to the your bottom.  She paused the screan on your gender.  Daddy and I knew.  But we watched her walked over to the balloons, and pick out the, "It's a boy" balloon.   

We were all shocked at first since we wanted and thought you were a girl.  Savannah looked very confused.  She looked as if she was going to cry. Your sweet little sister looked at me, looked at the tec and said, "Are you sure?"

It took a while for her to realize that she was getting, another brother.  On the other hand, Micah was excited, Eli was clueless and Leif and I were pleased with another healthy baby. 

3 boys!!  Our house is going to be full of cars, balls, and blue.  You are going to be so loved by your older sibling.  Eli is going to be the best big brother.  You guys will have so much fun together.  And I know he will teach you everything you need to know about trains and cars. 

Later on in the day your father said, "We are going to have a string of Kanooth athletes."  I would have to agree.      

As I was putting sweet Savannah to bed she hugged me and said, "Mama did you want a girl?"  I replied that I did, but was happy for a boy too. 

She then looked at me and said, "I like my brothers."

I think she sums it up right.  We are so excited to have another brother in this family.  You will be loved by all your brothers, and sweet Savannah.  

I felt you kick

Baby,

I got to feel you move for the first time today.  I am 17 weeks and 5 days.  I had a busy Thursday with your siblings and it was the end of the day.  I had gotten myself all ready for bed, then stretched out and placed my head on the pillow.  I was tired and ready for sleep.  I closed my eyes and, BOOM, they you were.  You gave me about 10 seconds of flutter kicks, and I loved it.  I told your father, but of course he can't feel you yet.  Im so thankful to be far enough along to start to feel you. 

Then the very next day, I went to a weight lifting class at Adcope Athletic Club.  It was a normal class, but lifting weights has become a lot harder for me with your growing little body.  After the class my abdomen just hurt.  I was cramping and felt a lot of pressure.  I felt so stupid for not listing to my body and doing less weights.  Well, I took a shower then came right home.  Eli and I jumped in bed and I put my feet up.  And that is when you started talking to me.  You moved, and kicked, and twilled.  As I was laying there I felt you for about 5 minutes in total.  And I know you were trying to tell me to take it easy. 

And I heard.  Mommy's not going to run/weight train anymore.  Your health is way more important.  

AND just now as I'm writing this you kicked me again.  I sure love your sense of humor.

Your first appointments

Hi baby,
I had my first OB appointment at 12 weeks.  Your doctor is Dr. Urquheart.  He has a really dry personality, but came very highly recommended.  Daddy and Eli came with us on our first appointment.  It was a long appointment, but the highlight was hearing your heart-beat on the Doppler.  It was a strong heart-beat.  Hearing it sure make me smile.

The Doctor went over my history and saw all the pre-mature deliveries I have had.  St. Joseph's doesn't deliver babies before 35 weeks.  So, we got helicopter insurance just in case.  But the goal for you is to get to 37 weeks and then have a repeat C-secion.  So please stay in long enough for me to have a normal delivery this time.   Grow strong, but please stay in until the time is right.  

Your second appointment was at 16 weeks.  I again got to hear your strong-little-heart-beat.  But the doctor went to deliver another baby, so we didn't get to see him.  Our next appointment will be an ultrasound.  I am so excited to see your little growing body. I already love you so much.
